Masashi Kishimoto is now widely known as the creator and author of NARUTO.
Born on November 8, 1974 in the Okayama Prefecture on Honshu Island, Japan, his first work as a manga artist was "Karakuri", which he submitted to Shueisha in 1996.
In 1999, Naruto was serialized in the weekly Shonen Jump manga magazine, winning its monthly "Hop Step Award". He numbers Akira Toriyama, creator of the Dragon Ball series as among his influences.
His twin brother Seishi Kishimoto is also a manga artist and the creator of 666 Satan, also known as O-Parts Hunter in North America.
